At Avsco Bike courses

We don’t only teach you how to ride safely we will also give you advise on what bike or clothing would suit you.

YOUR REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid DVLA Driving Licence
  • Be able to read a number plate no less than 57ft away
  • A Sturdy Jacket, Strong Trousers + Sturdy FootwearYour own legal Motorcycle Helmet & Gloves
  • Good Understanding of the Highway Code
  • You must have balance (to be able to ride a bicycle) as it is almost impossible to teach this skill.

Attendance

You must attend all the scheduled days of training in full. Attendance requires you to attend on time so please allow for traffic and transport issues. As the courses are regulated by the DVSA and have a set syllabus they cannot be delayed or postponed for an individual. Late attendance (arriving more than 15 minutes after the start time of your training/course) can lead to you missing your session and your fees being forfeit. You cannot join the course once it has started as you must complete each part of the course by Law. We cannot offer refunds or compensation for missed training sessions or test. If you do not attend elements of your time-tabled training, your course may be terminated with no refund. Courses are sold as a whole, and we cannot offer refunds for part elements not attended.

PAYMENTS

All CBT payments must be taken in full at the time of booking

REFUNDS/ CANCELATIONS

More than 7 Working Days’ notice is required to cancel CBT – £20 admin fee will apply
CBT Cancelation within 7 days Admin Fee of 30% will apply
CBT Cancelation within 3 days admin fee of 50% will apply
CBT cancelation within 1 day admin fee of 70 % will apply
CBT cancelation on the day / late arrival or incorrect attire / no helmet and or gloves will result in 100% loss of monies paid.

ALCOHOL & DRUGS

Alcohol and or drugs (Medical or Otherwise) will impair your ability so please do not take either (Except for Medical purposes) in 24 hours before or during your course.
If you are suspected of being under the influence of either alcohol or drugs, the course will be immediately cancelled with the loss of any monies paid. If you are in the middle of a multi-day course all monies paid will be forfeited.

INSURANCE

You are covered by North London Motorcycle Training Insurance on a third-party basis. No insurance is provided for personal accident injury.

EXCESS

DAS Course: In the event of any damage to the vehicle provided by the school, due to lack of care and attention there is a £1500 payment.

START TIMES:

CBT or Full licence courses, unless otherwise advised by reception or your instructor your start times will be on your booking confirmation email. Any person arriving after this time will forfeit the training day and any monies paid.

CBT Day

The cost of the CBT is per day. If you fail to complete the off-road section of the CBT training to the required standard, within the time allocated your CBT will be ended and you should discuss with your instructor which course to book next. If you fail to meet the required level of safety out on the public road, your CBT will be paused, and you will be invited to return for an extension road ride. this is to give you time to address the issues that will be outlined to you by your instructor. This extension must be taken within 21 days of the original CBT day, or you start the CBT from the beginning.ng services that meet your needs
