As we all know, we are unfortunately in the midst of another lockdown which means a stop to all motorcycle practical training, practical riding tests and motorcycle theory tests.
In this article, we hope to provide some useful information on next steps whether you were due to take your test, or are a beginner and want to take a CBT course.
Due To Take Your Full Bike Test During Lockdown?
- Module 1 and Module 2 Test
- A2 Licence
- DAS course
- CBT Renewal
- CBT Certificate
For those people who had any of the above tests booked during this period don’t despair! As soon as we have a date for the DVSA to re-open test centres, we will ensure that your test is rescheduled as a priority.
We have details of everyone who was due to take a test and will contact each of you to reschedule your test date.
Had A Driving Theory Test Booked?
All driving theory tests in England are suspended. If you have a motorcycle theory test booked, the DVSA will contact you and advise on next steps. Please head to the gov.uk website for further advice.

Want To Learn How To Ride A Motorcycle?
If you’re a complete beginner, to learn to ride on public roads you are legally required to first hold a UK provisional drivers’ licence and then complete Compulsory Basic Training (CBT).
To apply for a provisional drivers’ licence, you must be at least 15 years and 9 months old, and be able to read a number plate from 20 metres away. You can apply for a licence via the gov.uk website.
Once you hold a UK provisional drivers’ licence, you can book your CBT. As we motorcycle training is currently suspended in England, we have opened a waiting list where you can register your interest.
Please click here, fill in the details and we’ll be in touch as soon as we can to arrange a CBT date.
Want To Take Your Road Riding To The Next Level?
With our help, you can get your full motorcycle licence through the DAS scheme. You need a motorcycle theory certificate and a CBT certificate to join our course.
Again, as motorcycle training is currently suspended, we invite you to join our waiting list. We will be in touch very soon to arrange a date.
Hopefully we won’t need to wait too long to re-open and look forward to helping you with your two-wheeled journey.
